Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls Acnes spring collection just arrived and we promise that you’ll get Acne-fied (thanks for the expression Mathilda!)! The collection is very sporty but with elements of distressed denim and shiny fabrics. Think college sweatshirt for women but with a silk back, unisex caps in denim, distressed denim skirts and cute cardigans.
We seen the big fashion houses do the 50’s trend such as Prada and Louis Vuitton. It’s even got a bit of a mad men feel to the collection with full skirts in romantic patterns and soft cardigans in angora.
The women’s collection was described as "a downtown 'young jeans' girl," by the creative director Jonny Johansson, crashing into the fabrics and shapes of midcentury couture. There were what looked like acres of taffeta, organza, silk, and linen with silhouettes borrowed from the 1940's and fifties.
